Individual kayak tour at Nogat river
Nogat is the longest river on Żuławy Wiślane. Almost all
length of Nogat run between high shafts. Along Nogat’s runway, there are many
green places, where you can make your camp. During the tour at Nogat You can
admire monuments in Malbork and pieces of primary nature along Biała Góra and
near estuary of Zalew.
To make all track of Nogat (62 km) by kayak You need
about 3-4 days. Behind estuary of Liwa, Nogat’s width reach 100-300 m. The river goes through
the nature reserve of Las Łęgowy and next through the Las Mątowski. Behind Pogorzała
Willage, there is very good place for first camp.
Passing the lock near Kraśniewo
You can see first buildings and then the castle of Malbork.
It’s worth to stop and spend some tome to visit castle.
Behind Malbork, in Rakowiec,
there wait for You the lock, where You must carry the kayaks by yourself. By
next part of the river You can admire beautiful alders and willows growing on the
riverside.
Next barrier, to manage with, is the lock
in Michałowo, so You must be careful. On about 8 km, before the bay of Zalew
Wiślany, Nogat bifurcate and the rest of the
track run on the left. On the right, there is branch of Cieplicówka.

1st day
: Biała Góra - Pogorzała Willage /15 km;
the place where You can pun kayaks on the water is about 200m by bus stop Biała
Góra on the route Sztum-Piekło
2nd day
: Pogorzała Willage –the lock in
Rakowiec /17 km (there You can make your camp)
3rd day: Rakowiec -
Jazowo / 17 km
4rd day: : Jazowo – bay of Zalewu Wiślanego / 12 km
